Arbitration Award Contested by District

The P.E.A. has been notified that the District has appealed the award recently made by Arbitrator Robert Glasson. In this case, the District attempted to overhaul the rules for the granting of increments, especially related to staff members whose increments were withheld based upon the administration's new interpretation of how the 120 day attendance requirement was calculated.

The case will go before Superior Court where the judge will be required to make a decision based upon whether or not the arbitrator made an error in the legal process.
