By Linda Di Muro, Co Chairperson I was surprised to find out that many faculty and staff members are unaware that the P.E.A. hosts a show on Paterson Cable. The show is SP.E.A.KING Out,, and P.E.A. President Peter Tirri is the host. It is taped in an interview format and is a very interesting and informative program. So far this year, Pete has interviewed Dr. Clancy, Assemblyman Alfred P. Steele, Assemblywoman Nellie Pou, and Mayor Jose "Joey" Torres. The holidays were celebrated with a concert by students from our high schools and School # 7.
In an upcoming show, Pete will tour the halls of MLK with art teacher Marilyn Simon and Media Specialist Barbara Walter as Ms. Simon shows off the beautiful murals that were painted by her students over the last twenty years. I'm sure that there are many more interesting and talented people in our schools. If you are interested in sharing your talents, skills, or achievements call the P.E.A. office and leave a message. One final note, our SP.E.A.KING Out, crew is very small and on occasion, we have had to do two tapings in one week; so we would like to add some new crew embers. If you're interested in joining us, call the P.E.A. office and leave your name. And one final note, please tune in and let us know what you think. |
